What Do People Say About Our School?
Feedback received from Parents
‘It is a very friendly school and has a warm feel. Staff are very approachable and they care about all the children. I think there is a wide range of activities for the children; they also get the chance to experience things outside of the school.’
‘Excellent care, guidance and support for children, parents and staff. An interesting, engaging broad and balanced curriculum. Strong links with the community. Staff enable children to reach their fulll potential. Children learn in a safe and happy environment. School is a warm and welcoming place for children, parents and visitors.’
‘Togetherness!! All children are treated equally. Good approach to learning. My child loves school and has done for the past 7 years. Thank you Evenwood School for making the first half of her school life so enjoyable and her education has been excellent. Thank you.’
Julia MacDonald
Following a celebration assembly, Mrs MacDonald wrote to us saying… A lady that was sat next to me at celebration assembly said –
‘I shouldn’t be here, but I’m glad I was, I am here to enrol staff on a cookery course with the college. I am so glad I had to stay, wasn’t that amazing’.
The high reputation of Evenwood Primary School will travel beyond the boundaries of the village quickly today I suspect.
Janet Bennett (Educational Development Partner for Durham Local Authority)
Thank you to staff and pupils for the warm welcome I have received. I was impressed by pupils very positive attitudes to their learning, their very good behaviour and how well they try to do their best work in lessons. I am glad that you enjoy your work and get on well together. Keep up the good work!’
Ofsted Report May 2010
