When I was first asked to become a governor at Evenwood school my little boy was at nursery and I was making the hard decision of which school to choose!
I remember looking around the school and how friendly and welcoming it was.
My decisions were made, 4 years later I now have two very happy children in the school and continue in the role of parent governor.
I live in Evenwood and work as a senior practitioner in a private nursery, I feel my skills I use in my job also help me to be a successful governor.
I am on the finance committee and have other areas I monitor with other governors such as maths and pupil premium spending. I will continue to help the school grow and excel in all areas.
