I was born at East Cowes, on the Isle of Wight. I moved to Middleton in Teesdale in 1966. I have lived in Evenwood since 1985 and have been a member of the school governing body since 1999. I currently serve as the chair of governors. I am a member of the school finance committee and also serve as the governor responsible for health and safety.
I am married with one grown-up daughter. I have previously served on Evenwood Parish Council and as the national president of my professional Institute, the Institute of Asphalt Technology (IAT). I have spent the last 35 years working as a civil engineer in the construction materials field. I am currently working for one of the country’s major construction materials suppliers as a lead auditor for management systems controlling health, safety, environment and quality.
I will work with the head teacher and staff to ensure that all the children who attend Evenwood C of E school get the best start in life possible.
